My name is Hannah Morrison and I'm from the Scottish Highlands. I graduated from Gray's School of Art in 2015 with a BA (Hons) in 3D Design, specialising in Ceramics & Glass. I then spent a year as Graduate in Residence at Gray's before returning to the Highlands in late 2016 to set up my own studio/workshop.
I love to make contemporary, cheerful pieces for the home using various combinations of traditional making techniques and processes. I throw the vast majority of my work on the potter’s wheel and then finish each and every piece by hand. You’ll find no shortage of colour in the work I create. I love to make quirky, bright, fun and yet functional things that add a talking point to a room-be that kitchen, living space, bathroom or bedroom! I attend lots of craft events all over the Highlands throughout the year to sell my work and I also have a small array of stockists dotted about the North of Scotland too. (See ‘Where to buy’ tab above for more info!) I welcome collaborations with other artists & designers as well as commissions from individuals or organisations. I’m forever trying to make my business more sustainable and already work with a few businesses making ceramic solutions to reduce plastic use so if you have any ideas on how I can help you or your business in this way then please just let me know!
